Task Two – Styles of Television Advertising

Humour:

It showed realistic people which allows the viewer to use their imagination to make up their endings as well as showing some comedy within the advert













Parody


This advert was effective because it showed real life people which enables the viewer to identify with the characters.












Shock

Shocking adverts are used to create awareness and make them memorable.
















Surrealism Intertextuality














Repetition
Sex

Shows us that women know what the best washing up liquid is. By doing saying saying the name throughout the advert it makes it hard to forget.













Famous Faces
This advert is a famous face advert because it shows two of the most iconic/famous sports stars in the world. What this does is that it makes the viewer think that by using this product, they'll become like them.

Task One - Forms of Television Advertising

Blog 2- Forms of Television Advertising



For my realist advert i'v chosen the: The Honest Coca-Cola Obesity Commercial.
This advertisement was effective because it highlighted that how over time they have brought down the sugars and calories. In addition it also highlighted that you shouldn't drink to much of their product because it can lead to obesity, high cholesterol and rotting of the teeth.










For my anti realist advert i have chosen is; 

Evian Roller Babies international version. This advertisement was effective because it played on the emotions of the viewer. It did this by uses children which made it happy and joyful to watch.










For my animated advert i'v chosen is: 

Kit Kat Animated Commercial - Vending Machine. This advert wasn't effective because it was almost like a short film. The viewer was not aware of the product until h end and the product placement was anti- climax. 



For my documentary advert i'v chosen is:

Slavery is closer than you think. This advertisement was effective because it has the person in trouble and in difficulty and commercials that portray people in such predicaments are the most memorable.


For my talking heads advert I've chosen:

Costa Coffee new 2012 crazy TV advert.  This was effective because it was simple because it didn't use overkill.


 For my stand alone advert I've chosen:

Dairy milk gorilla advert. This advert was effective because at the end of the advert it was easy to remember the product.


For my series advert I've chosen:


Nescafe gold blend couple advert. This advert was effective because  it allowed the viewer to use his/her imagination to interpret the end of the story in the advert in their own way.
